The Sunshine Room connects people who are seeking permanent employment, fixed term contracts or graduate apprenticeships in the Education Sector. Our services focus specifically within the SEND sector. 

 

This service is entirely free to candidates and always will be.

Your Rights​

• Mason Recruitment will not request exclusive rights to represent you for roles, as we believe this is not in your best interests.

• You are free to work with as many agencies as you wish. However, as a courtesy and for a smoother recruitment process, please let us know if you are engaging with other agencies during our initial conversations. There is no catch or drawback to sharing this information.

• It is worth understanding that schools are unlikely to proceed with a candidate who they have become aware of through multiple routes or agency services.

 

All of these points can be discussed, so please don’t hesitate to ask for clarification.

Employer Details​

• Once we provide you with an employer’s name, you should not apply for any role with them directly. Doing so can disrupt the recruitment process and cause problems for all parties. Ultimately, it may result in your application being rejected, which The Sunshine Room is keen to prevent for you.

• If you believe you have already applied for the role we are discussing, either directly or through an agency, please let us know at your earliest convenience. This prevents a client from receiving your CV through multiple sources, which as a candidate you should seek to avoid.

The Sunshine Room’s Obligations​

• To uphold a candidate’s best interests and provide regular and transparent feedback to ensure you feel fully informed about the recruitment process at all times.

• To ensure that the details of a role in discussion meet your career and salary objectives.

• To provide you with complete interview details, including the date, time, location, who you are reporting to, the interview timetable, tasks, and which documentation you should bring.

• To check you are happy to have your contact details shared directly with the school.

Your Responsibilities as a Candidate​

• Notify us immediately if you receive and accept an offer of employment from a school we introduced you to within the last twelve months.

• Notify us immediately if a school contacts you with a view to discussing a new role at their school, following the initial introduction, within a period of twelve months.

• Provide the required documents as requested to confirm your qualifications, police check (Enhanced DBS), and right to work in the UK (British passport or Visa). You must provide this information honestly and update us on any changes.

• Comply with the school's policies, including health and safety rules when you are visiting for an interview.

• Act professionally and inform us of any conflicts of interest.

• Cooperate with providing information and feedback when requested.

Confidentiality​

• Keep all information regarding your engagement with us confidential. Do not share details with third parties without our consent unless required by law.

• We will keep your information private and only share it with the client to assist with confirming your eligibility for the role.

• We will permanently delete data as requested.

Liability​

The Sunshine Room is not responsible for any loss or damages arising from the cancellation of an engagement or any issues you encounter related to this agreement.

Termination​

• This agreement is ongoing but can be terminated by either party with one month’s notice.

• It may also be terminated immediately if there is a breach, force majeure event, or if one party ceases trading.

Governing Law​

This agreement is governed by the laws of England, and any disputes will be settled in the courts of England.

Additional Points

• Relationship: This agreement does not create an employment relationship between you and The Sunshine Room.

• No Guarantee: We do not guarantee any specific outcomes or levels of engagement.

• Indemnity: You agree to indemnify us against any liabilities or claims related to your engagement.
